I hope I can make you jealous with this picture taken in a gardening store here, in the Netherlands.

These wooden clogs are still being worn on a daily basis by old farmers. I bought a pair, as I wanted to go Dutch and do my gardening on clogs.

It takes getting used to, they are far from soft or comfortable and you have to watch out and not step with your heel on the wooden edge, which is a painful experience. But it is fun and worth your while🙂

2012-05-05 14.00.15I had to try on these flowery boots as well, they were too lovely no to🙂

I wish you lots of flowers in your gardens next year and the right tools to make it even more fun. Happy New Year!

  1. My sister had to go to great lengths to get a size 12 pair of wooden clogs for her husband; Having them in a store would have been much easier. I think she got them for him so that he wouldn’t be able to sneak up on her anymore.

  2. your new garden shoes are wonderful…I have Dutch shoes in all sizes, even some tiny metal charms, some made of china and wooden ones too, but I do not wear wooden ones in the garden…here in the states they sell lots of plastic “clogs” that wash up nicely and slip on and off easily too!

Wishing you and yours a very Happy 2013…may all of your wishes come true! oxo

    • Thanks Patty, they are pretty to collect🙂 I know the ones you mention, but I wanted the real thing🙂
Happy New Year with health, joy and love!
